OPINIONS OF SOME UK WINE TRADERS AND MEDIA ON NEBBIOLO DAY 2017 ‘The altissima qualità of the tasting and the way it was organised calls for a few words. It was, quite simply, amazing, one of the best I’ve ever attended, original, innovative, exhaustive and chock-a-block with wonderful wines. By the way, the booklet is a masterpiece of Nebbiolo knowledge, I know I’ll be dipping into it for year’s.’ Nicolas Belfrage MW – author of Barolo to Valpolicella: The Wines of Northern Italy; Brunello to Zibibbo: The Wines of Tuscany, Central and Southern Italy; The Finest Wines of Tuscany and Central Italy ‘It was a really good tasting. There was plenty of diversity, different styles of Nebbiolo, and I think it is a grape variety that warrants such an event. I think you can feel pretty pleased as to how the event went. There was a lot of interest and a good buzz. Thank you so much for organizing and thank you Walter for a brilliant idea.’ Rosemary George MW –wine writer Thanks again for a super tasting on Monday. There was a great atmosphere in the room and a fantastic array of producers – both imported in the UK and not imported, so it was useful for me as a buyer to see what is out there and what competitors are up to!
